Course Description :
Continued emphasis on the application of clinical techniques.  During the third year, students learn to manage children with complex special health care needs, including inpatients. Students interact and coordinate with other medical departments within the hospitals. They utilize pharmacologic behavior management techniques for children, including those with special health care needs.
Clinical experience with advanced pediatric dentistry treatment is provided. Patients requiring conscious sedation and general anesthesia are treated in the department clinic/ University Hospital. Rotations in hematology, oncology, and endocrinology departments will be arranged in monthly rotations.
Also the students will be required to attend the pediatric dentistry specialty clinic and dental treatment of children under general anesthesia one day case unit at JUH.
